The warm winter months are upon us
Alkmaar has a vibrant city centre all year round, with a pleasant shopping, dining and drinking experience.
It gets even better during the Warm Winter Months. Many extra festivities are organized for both residents and visitors that you don't want to miss out on.
On 14 and 15 December you visit the Waagplein for your Christmas shopping and plenty of fun. The Christmas market in Alkmaar is entertainment for young and old.
A Christmas choir, singer or singing Santa Claus performs every day. There are also various activities for children, like painting Christmas baubles or cuddling animals in the living nativity scene.
Extremely popular: the famous Shopping Nights.
A special winter edition will take place on Saturday 21 December. You can shop in the city centre until 21.00 hours.
Have your Christmas presents nicely gift-wrapped in one of the shops and give yourself (or someone else) an extra treat.
The fourth edition of Winter caravan is on its way! Five new performances at five new locations.
